You can have anything from 1m³ upwards. It’s your choice based on what you need. We currently operate 10 vehicles, each capable of delivering up to 7m³ per load and we are expanding all the time. Recently, we have introduced a new fleet of barrel mixers which are now in operation.
We operate an out of hours service, thus saving the large expense of paying to have a batching plant opened on your behalf.
The volumetric batching plant lorries were invented in 1975, in order to deliver multiple batches of concrete to several customers of the same lorry with zero waste.
Until 1975, barrel mixers had the stronghold on the market. These barrels only carry one strength at a time and has to be delivered to the customer within 2 hours, before the concrete go off and turns hard.
Drum mixers can carry up to 8m³ of one concrete mix, where a Volumetric (VCM) carry all the ingredients in separate containers:
Volumetrics are heavier because they carry an auger, mixing equipment and conveyer belts. This eliminates the need for a second pump lorry.
VCMs tackle concrete and water wastage. Drums concrete waste goes into landfill Volumetrics produce no waste.
Volumetrics cannot carry more than 8.5 to 9.5m³ fully loaded. It is not possible to get more than 10m³ of a volumetric
